Can't set the playback position

Hi, I have a major problem: I really can't set the playback position by pressing P and left clicking on the score. It doesn't work at all and so the software is almost unusable. I use Notation Composer on Windows 10.

Any ideas or alternative methods?

Hi Max,

Do other mouse actions work properly, such as clicking on a note to select it, or selecting a region (click-drag) in Region select mode?

I suspect there may be some setting for the mouse that is at issue since it's working for me on my Win 10 machine, nor have we had any other reports of a problem.

Yes, other mouse actions work properly (clicking on a note to select it, selecting a region and other), but when I press P+left click simply nothing happens, the green arrow stays there and does not move. :(

I'm using a touchpad on an ASUS netbook with Windows 10 Home.

Saw the report - just had to check it myself. Worked okay on my Windows 7 desktop with a wireless mouse.

That's weird: if I invert the left/right click functions on my touchpad control panel, it works! I mean that I can set the playback position by pressing P+right click (acting as the left one) on the touchpad. :eek:

I guess I should try an external USB mouse.

Hi Max,

The fact that it works when you change the settings does point to something about the settings for the touchpad. If you get it to work, I'd just stick with that method :)
