Default XML format and import

Are there plans to import score in XML format in Notation Software too?

I've tried XML export from Notation Composer demo and importing that into another (free) Notation program. That seemed to work fine.

However converting formats forth and back are often not hassle free, especially when it comes to editing and re-saving.

How "good" or "portable" are score files stored in XML format?

Default Re: XML format and import

Hi,

We do plan to include MusicXML import into Composer. However, there are limitations even to using MusicXML as a truly portable format between programs. Some apps handle MusicXML format better than others, and so there is always some loss of data in such transfers. We do want to make Composer more flexible for our users, and so we do intend to add MusicXML import in a future release.

ttfn,
Sherry
