Re: When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again Duet
Hello Ralph,
Nice job on the swing section of Johnny Comes Marching Home! It is very nicely arranged for the swing beat. I agree that it is a good idea to write out the swing beats. If the whole piece were swing, then swing notation without the -- 3 -- triplets would be appropriate. But since you're switching between the traditional 6/8 meter of Johnny, and your own swing section, I think it is smart to emphasize the change in rhythms and feel by actually writing out the swing. Again, nice arrangement! Cheers -- Mark |

Re: When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again Duet
I'm reposting this file because I've just learned the trick that Sherry posted on You Tube for "Create Upbeat Measure in Notation Composer". Therefore, I've incorporated this trick into this score, to make the annotation correct. The change does not affect the content of the piece.
