Print only two staves of 5 or more staves
Is there a way to print only two staves when the midi file actually has more? Also, in practice mode, can we display only two staves (example: 1st and 2nd Violin) and when it plays all of the staves will sound?

Re: Print only two staves of 5 or more staves
Hi,
Sure enough You can use the Part/Display or Define a Part, and then either "Add" a new part and select just the staff/staves you want. When you're done, click "Display part and exit". When you play the file, just the staves in that Part will display (you can change which Part displays by choosing it from the drop-list in the Menu bar) but you'll still hear all the staves in the file. I use this technique a lot when I'm working to learn a new bass line. ttfn, Sherry

Thanks for reply on display. I would have discovered this when I finish the tutorial. Margaret and I keep trying out new songs and this slows the tutorial time. Great software. David
