Default I Got Plenty o' Nuttin'

"I Got Plenty o' Nuttin'" was written in 1935 by George Gershwin for the musical, "Porgy and Bess". This arrangement was written for the USAF Band's Concert Band in September, 1963, and featured a Baritone Soloist.

I have my reservations about posting this score. It was the second piece that I ever did for the Band, and there are many parts that I would write differently today. But, my goal has been to capture in Composer all pieces that I don't have recordings for -- I have one more to go after this piece, then I'll be able to move on to new scores. Being patient is difficult, but I'm learning more about Notation Composer in the process, and I'm relearning a lot of things I had forgotten over 40+ years.

I used trombone for the baritone soloist. The synthesized voices I have available to me just don't sound right in this context. Listening to this score after all these years, I feel it could use a few tempo changes and a pause for effect here and there, but my boss at the time wanted it to be lively for performance, so it's straight ahead, no slowing down.

I hope there is something here that will benefit the listener or the aspiring orchestrator. Enjoy.
