I suppose you could use MidiOx as a middle-man between the M-Audio driver and Composer, but it seems to me to be a long way around.
Sherry is right in that MidiOx is not, in itself, a midi device, so it won't ever show up in the device list.
You'd have to install MidiYoke (from the same people who brought you MidiOx) or LoopBe or a similar virtual device, route the input from your M-Audio driver through MidiOx and send it out to your virtual device in MidiOx's mapper. Only then can you run Composer and select the appropriate virtual device as input.
You will be adding a couple of layers of delay to your input, though.
Best to see if you can force Composer to see your "good" M-Audio drivers through the manual process Sherry described.
