Re: Slurs over Page Change
Hi, Sherri, Ralph:
Here are some screenshots from one of my compositions, showing the behaviour in question. 1. A slur over a page-break in Page View. This was the best I could get it. 2. The same slur after the page-break. Note that the right hand (after the page) is usually 'normal'. 3. The same slur as it appears in Scroll View with the slur selected. Note the distortion required to get the slur to appear even as in screen-shot 1. 4. The same slur moved to appear 'normal' in Scroll View with the slur selected. 5. The same 'normalized' slur as it then appears in Page View. 6. The right hand end of the same slur after the page-break. I've also attached the .not file of the composition so you can try it out. The slur in question is at bar 31-32. This issue goes back right to the beginning. I only have versions going back to 2010 on my hard drive, but I know it goes back at least that far. |

Re: Slurs over Page Change
Sherry & David,
I don't know if this is a significant additional symptom, but when I left-click the left-most anchor in my (measure 26) example, the anchors disappears completely and reappear wherever the cursor is when I release, as it should, but it shouldn't be a blind drop. I do not see the same behavior in David's sample. Ralph |

Re: Slurs over Page Change
I'm not able to reproduce that here, Ralph.
But, I do seem to remember some odd behaviour with the anchors on slurs. There. How's that for a helpful beta report? David Quote:

Re: Slurs over Page Change
Not to pile on, but here's another problem with this score. When I try to fine-tune the physical placement of a string of free form text, the anchor disappears and I have to guess where I want to release the cursor. I have the same problem with the note icon to the left of the "= 80" text string at the top of the score.

Re: Slurs over Page Change
Hi guys,
I'm not sure what kind of setup you're running, but on my own new workhorse setup running Windows 11 I ran into a weird but true issue with some display stuff. I have a 4K monitor (it's actually a TV that I got on sale, which was WAY cheaper than a "computer monitor", and it will project sound too!) and I found that if I have the "Use HDR" setting "on" that some weird things can happen. If you are using Windows 11 (and maybe Windows 10), have a look at Settings/System/Display and see if "Use HDR" is turned "On". If so, maybe try turning it "Off" and see if that has any effect on appearance (or disappearance.). I've just tried it myself, and it doesn't make a difference for "My Special Angel", but thought I'd mention it as a possibility. For me for now I've turned off the HDR setting..... ttfn, Sherry

Re: Slurs over Page Change
Nice try, but no help for me. My Settings have:
Display capabilities -> Use HDR -> Not supported RRR |
