It sounds like perhaps you want to use the "8va" or "8vb" feature. This is where the notation is knocked down or up and octave to keep from having so many leger lines. You can see an example of this in use in notation as well as see how to use the feature in Composer at http://www.notation.com/ComposerDocs3/8va_octaves.htm
