Default connection

Hello,

In the future I would like to use Music Composer. Should I buy midi-usb wire or my usb wire, which I connect my printer to my computer, is fine? The digital piano, which I am going to buy, includes usb to host and midi in/out.

Thanks in advance.

Default Re: connection

Hello, Maximus:

If you have a choice, it's probably simpler to use straight USB. Depending on the keyboard you buy, there's a good chance that it will be a straight Plug'n'Play option in Windows.

On the other hand, a USB/midi device gives you other options of connecting multiple keyboards at once -- again, depending on the device you buy.

As a starter, a USB cable is cheaper to buy.

Hope that helps.

David
