Default Composer beta release version

Composer beta release version 1.9.9 is now available at:
www.notation.com/MidiNotateBetaRelease.htm

If you are using any prior version of Composer, it will be necessary for you to download and install version 1.9.9 in order to reset the trial period (which expired on today August 18 for version 1.9.8).

Composer beta release version 1.9.9 includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:
  • Color schemes. A new set of standard color schemes are available via the Color Scheme command in the Setup menu. Your current color scheme will not be changed.
  • Note editing. New shortcuts, Numpad + and - can now be used instead of P+Up/DownArrow to raise or lower the pitch of a note. Also, Shift + Numpad + and - can be used for raising or lowering the pitch by an octave.
  • Accidentals. Fix bug: the enharmonic spelling E-double-flat was not available for D.
  • Ties. Fix bug: if the Collapse Tie command was followed by a command to change the duration of the previously tied note, the duration of the note might not be correctly notated.
  • Recording. Fix bug: the rhythms were not correctly recorded if recording were started with a tempo adjustment (in the main toolbar).
  • Text editing. Fix bug: while editing text, such as lyrics or free text, the standard Windows clipboard commands Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V, and Ctrl+D did not work-- they would sometimes delete the entire text instead.
  • MIDI graphical editing. Fix bug: the palette drawing tools were not available for MIDI controller events.

Cheers
