Hi,

Yes, you can use Voices to transcribe these types of "overlapping" notes.

Quickie:

1. Notes and Rests-> Notes (add mode)
2. Click the "Lower voice" button (far right button on Notes detail palette)
3. Enter the two whole notes
4. Now click the "Upper voice" button (next to lower voice)
5. Enter the other notes.
