Default Can't display meter in short measure

In the attached score, I can't display the 4/4 time signature in measure 1 (a pickup measure). Measure 1 is a 3-beat measure in 4/4 time. I have used this scheme before, but I can't get the display right in this score (see El Condor Pasa Duet in the Learning and Teaching Forum).

Hi Ralph,

Thanks for including the file. Do you happen to recall how you created the file, specifically that first measure figure? That may give us a clue as to why it was behaving oddly.

In any event I've fixed the file to what I think you want.

Please let me know if it isn't what you wanted, or if it's not working properly for you.

Sherry

Thanks, Sherry. Responding to you is a problem. Mozilla Thunderbird is causing me email trouble - but that has nothing to do with my Composer problem.

Forget about T'bird...see the Snipping Tool error below. As you will see, I've downloaded the results of trying to open your update to my file 7 times in my frustration.

In regard to your question, I created my new Hernando file my usual way - with my duet template - and I've tried and failed in so many ways trying to create my final score that I may as well start over again. Not practical. Any suggestions?
