Microsoft: "Making music with MIDI just got a real boost in Windows 11"
Please visit Microsoft's announcement of Windows MIDI Services from February 17, 2026.
We at Notation Software participated in this project. Version 5.1.4 includes many enhancements using the Windows MIDI Services of Windows 11. Reinhold

Hi, Reinhold:
Well, isn't that interesting? I remember arguments back in '83 that nobody would ever need more than two synths MIDI'd together, let alone a network. As Dylan (Bob, not Thomas) said, "The times they are a-changing." Thanks for the update. David

Please see this bug report from Feb. 7th, 2025 where one can see how important it was for Notation Software to participate early on.
It was really fun working with Pete Brown and the Microsoft team in this project for more than 1 year. They ran the project very professionally and have been very responsive. Reinhold
