Default Re: Midi keyboard and NC 3 - latency?

Hi,

Most likely what you need to do is the following:

1. Disable the GS Wavetable. It is known to interfere with some devices and cause latency. You can do this in Composer by
  1. running Composer,
  2. clicking Setup -> MIDI Devices configuration
  3. clicking Port -> Select Ports
  4. UNcheck the box on the right-hand side for "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth"
Then...
2. Install an ASIO driver. ASIO is a protocol (audio stream input/output) that practically makes latency disappear. There is a good free one at www.asio4all.com

That should do it. Just set your keyboard as your default output device and enjoy

ttfn,
Sherry
