Default Hi Mike, I'm not sure w

Hi Mike,

I'm not sure why you'd be running .mid files through Player to put into Cubase. Player is a read-only application, so it shouldn't be doing anything to the original .mid file. Perhaps you're using Musician or Composer rather than Player, and editing the file first before exporting it to .mid?

The VST instrument control in Cubase is a whole separate issue, and would be addressed much better in the Cubase forum since it's dependent on the Cubase software My understanding (which is obviously limited as I don't use Cubase, and have only used the Lite version years ago) is that Cubase will place each .mid file track in a separate track in the Cubase interface that can be manipulated via the controls in Cubase. This file handling is not dependent on Notation software controls.

Or maybe I'm confused about how you're listening (or trying to listen) to the file . . . ?

ttfn,
Sherry
