Default My Favorite Things Duet

"My Favorite Things" was written by Richard Rogers & Oscar Hammerstein III in 1959 for the musical "The Sound of Music".

This is an easy duet for players who are learning to read, and a pleasant one for all others.

I have two voices playing in octaves at the opening, except two places where I switch to unison for the Alto part. The concert B (E5) would have been to low as an E4. I have used octaves because the melody does not lend itself to pleasing, two-part harmony.

This duet is a bonus duet for the month. Those who frequent this sub-forum will know that I usually write two duets a month for my wife, Cynthia. Cynthia soloed on this song when she was just beginning to learn to read, and I have now created a duet for it.

If you would like to see the lyrics or the chords, you can use Composer commands to display them: for lyrics use qsl; for chords use qscn.
