Default Re: Splitting Notes, Confused.

Hi Simon,

You can just add a 16th note to the location where the rest is currently.
1. Click on the Notes palette, and the 16th note button. It should automatically go to "Add" mode (if not, just click the big "Plus sign" button on the toolbar).
2. Click on the score where you want the 16th note.

For more on adding and editing notes, you can see the Tutorial Videos here on the forum, or see Help/Users Guide, and use the Index to look up whatever you're interested in.

I'd be interested to know if the exported .mid file, when re-imported into your other MIDI app, played the 8th note or the two separate 16th notes. We have seen some apps that have issues with .mid export, so I'd like to know if it's the exported file, or the importation of that file, that caused this issue in our software. If you wouldn't mind sending me a copy of the exported .mid file, and letting me know exactly where the note(s) occur, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!
Sherry
