Default Tutorial for Band-in-a-Box plugin for Notation Composer

Hi friends,

The following is a tutorial video for using the Band in a Box plugin with Notation Composer 3.1.

The Band-in-a-Box plugin offers a great jump-start to your compositions and arrangements by creating accompaniment for you that you can then "massage" to your tastes, or your groups abilities to play. You can select from a wide variety of genres - the trial version comes with 25 different styles, while the full plugin has 150 to choose from.

This video covers the following topics:
  • (briefly) chord names with the plugin
  • Intros and Endings
  • Selecting and editing a Style
  • Generating the accompaniment
  • Selecting a Take
  • Working with multiple Takes
  • (briefly) Parameters for different staves (eg. volume, pan, muting, etc.)
The tools that Composer has for copy/pasting and other editing to move things around, edit the sound, or other things you can do after you create accompaniment with the plugin are discussed in other tutorial videos.

Watch or download the video here.

As always, if you have questions or comments about the video please post them here.

ttfn,
Sherry
