Re: Boccherini - Sinfonia in C maj, G.523, 1799

Bernhard Köpfer has edited a full score of this work and posted it at IMSLP:
https://imslp.org/wiki/Symphony_in_C_major,_G.523_(Boccherini,_Luigi)

Very nice job, too.

Re: Boccherini - Sinfonia in C maj, G.523, 1799

The audio renderings have gotten to a point that I feel I can publish them. They have more to be done, according to my project, but I think the present result is entertaining.

Enjoy.

Re: Boccherini - Sinfonia in C maj, G.523, 1799

Here's the score for the two shorter movements -- the other two failed upload for violation of size limit :(. I've made an effort to adhere to the autograph version linked-to earlier in this thread....

Re: Boccherini - Sinfonia in C maj, G.523, 1799

I've finished data-entry on all four movements and am largely done with proof-reading, so I thought I'd post them (including the latest version of mvt iii, posted earlier). I am at the beginning of...

Re: Boccherini - Sinfonia in C maj, G.523, 1799

I figured out what was going on with the sound on my Windows 10 rig: the soundfont had changed, probably somewhere along the way to NC v 3.1.1. I restored it to TimGM6mb.sf2 and the sounds are much...

Re: Boccherini - Sinfonia in C maj, G.523, 1799

Hi David

Been at it since 2010. Several are posted in this forum. But the Boccherini is the largest and most modern.

Only horns in this sinfonia, but yeah, it's not a concerto, so I had...

Boccherini - Sinfonia in C maj, G.523, 1799

This is a movement from the latest symphony transcription I'm working on. It's by Luigi Boccherini, an Italian composer working in Spain -- this one was published in 1799 and so is the most "modern"...

Re: Overtura di Telemaco, Opera di Alessandro Scarlatti

Sherry,

Turns out I have NC v 3.0.6. I've been heads down transcribing and producing per my established routine and never noticed the new features (other than export to pdf) when I upgraded. I...

Re: Overtura di Telemaco, Opera di Alessandro Scarlatti

Hi Sherry,

Been a while.

My initial thought was to post a link to the "Synthesized/MIDI" tab in the IMSLP site -- had that worked, you would have seen:

Sinfonia da Telemaco ln C maj - Presto...

Re: Missa el Ojo, Kyrie, by Francisco de Peñalosa

Just listened to this using Composer 3.0.3, apparently for the first time -- the built-in synth is satisfying, including its response to cc#11 (Expression).

Songsmith,

Compact and effective midi arrangement.

An organic relationship of words and melody allows them to grow out of each other.

Accompaniment comments clearly at strategic points on...

Re: Sealed With A Kiss Duet

Ralph,

Masterful arrangements.

Thanks

Walt

P.S. And as a child of the 50's and 60's, both songs have a nostalgic pull.

This may be the "finale" when I come up with a third one for the set.

Looks to be advanced intermediate level difficulty.

Ralph,

Thanks so much for trying it out.

I love writing music, even little ditties -- the leap from blank staves to sounds-in-my-ears is exhilarating. And the process is somehow cross-wired in...
