When you post a reply you have several "additional options" if you scroll down.
You need to click on "manage attachments" to upload and attach any files to your posts.

I don't know about your device but can't you transfer midi files directly into it via a storage medium like SD card or similar procedures?
One application I know about that claims to support both...

Why don't you simply use Notation Player for score display?
I think XML format is more meant to exchange data between different applications but having a viewer to embed in html would be indeed...
