Bugs and glitches stopping me using Notation 5
I bought the new version 5. It seems to be full of bugs that basically stop me using it.
Firstly, I click on new song, it tells me Harmony Font is not installed. I then install Harmony font. I get the same message from Notation when I try again. When I decide to re-install Harmony, it tells me it's already installed. I overwrite it anyway and install it again, and try to create a new song, and the same thing happens. Can anybody please help with this? I can't use this software at the moment - it is more or less useless. My second issue is with using drum sounds. I can't get any from the main menu, except when a non-drum instrument suddenly makes drum sounds. Again, this is ridiculous. I can't find the drum sounds to write drum parts, and yet have to get rid of them from eg violins, etc. Once again, this is resulting in me getting virtually nothing done. Any ideas, anybody? |
Re: Bugs and glitches stopping me using Notation 5
Hi Nick,
I responded to your helpdesk inquiry earlier - did you receive that response? We haven't had a problem with the Harmony font for years, so I've referred that to our development department. The drums I suspect are probably a channel assignment issue. Please see my direct response for further details. ttfn, Sherry |
Re: Bugs and glitches stopping me using Notation 5
Hi Nick,
Another item that I did not include in my previous email via the Helpdesk (support@notation.com) is that any time you (or anyone) encounters a problem, please make sure that you are using the "latest and greatest" version of the software. If you are unsure, you can always check at https://www.notation.com/UpgradeOrder.php This page will check which version number you last downloaded from our site, and tell you if there is an update available for download (updates are free, upgrades are purchases - see the page for details). It looks like you are missing the latest update, which may (or may not) help if the installation gets updated. ttfn, Sherry |
