Swing performance and swing notation
 

Hi friends,


Maybe it's because I play in a big band and with a small jazz combo, but "swing" is a big part of the music that I play (we even swing hymns sometimes at church!).


In answer to a problem that one user was having, I ended up posting some information on getting a "swing" performance but keeping "swing" rhythm notation.
