Washington Post March Duet

1 Attachment(s)
The "Washington Post March" was written in 1889 by John Philip Sousa.

This duet is very challenging in places, with interplay between the two instruments. The range of the song, almost two full octaves, is an additional challenge, particularly for recorders. But, it is a lot of fun to play. I have taken some liberties with Sousa's original score, but I think the net effect is okay. I changed the key to Eb to keep the Soprano part as low as possible.

In measures 9 and 17, the Alto part has two Cb notes (concert E5). Sousa would have made these two notes Bb (concert Eb). I like it the way I have it, but if you prefer Sousa's way, please feel free to change it.

Note that this is not the complete score. My wife Cynthia and I play from a printed copy of the score and I work at keeping the printed score at no more than two pages, so there was not enough room to have any more of score than what you see here.
