I mainly 'speak my music out' through a particular Yamaha PSR, and I believe I have the appropriate .ins./.pat file assigned. I often like to use some of the higher bank voices, and when I select these by the MSB/LSB nos, Notation does recognise them from a practical point of view, but often highlights a blank in the name space. I don't seem to be able to make an entry in the blank to name the sound for my own future reference - after all, I do have favourites ( don't we all).

Is there a way to do this ?

Howdy Iandg,

Thanks for listing how you initially tried to do this patch name entry - these types of "I tried it this way" reports help us to better understand how to make the software easier to use!

You can indeed enter these missing patch names manually. Please see Help/Users Guide, and use the Index to look up "patch" and then see the section on "patch names for device." We'll be looking at making this manual entry easier.

ttfn,
Sherry
