Hi everyone,

I'm Guy, and I'm 16 years old (and counting http://www.notation.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif). Ever since i've been Listening to the band named Genesis, I've been wanting to notate the piano introduction to the song named "Firth of Fifth". Only when I found this piece of software I saw it could be done! http://www.notation.com/discus/clipart/happy.gif
I did it, and I find it almost 100% accurate - even when playing it together with the original introduction it sounds well-organized.
I've uploaded it to hear what you guys think. any sort of feedback will be welcome. If you've never heard the song and you like it, buy the album! (Genesis - Selling England by the Pound)
Thank you
Guy
P.S I also ask you not to go publishing this in every hole. This was almost 2 days of hard work and i don't want people to go claiming it to be theirs. If you hear it, please do not spread it. Thank you.<center><table border=1><tr><td>http://www.notation.com/discus/icons...hment_icon.gifFirth of Fifth - Genesis

Hi Guy,
A lot of work in this transcription...can I send some of my improvisations for you to do too? (just joking...but my ear is no longer up to yours!)

Very good job indeed.

Couple of things which might help you or anyone trying to play from the transcription. Time signatures like 13/16 make a performer fall over (!). A lot of this is dual time stuff: if the rhythm of the those 13/16 bars actually supposed to be 3+2 beats, with triplets playing against the first three beats,it'd be easier to read scored as 3/8 (=9/16) + 2/8 (=4/16) and split each 13/16 bar accordingly. Easier to read too if you double all note values so 9/16 becomes 9/8 and 4/16 becomes 4/8 becomes 2/4. Saves ink too!!

Hi Guy,

Nice job. Could be good piece for getting young pianists used to multiple (and sometimes unusual) time signatures.

all best,

Hi Guy,

I'm a fan of Genesis keyboard player Tony Banks

Nice job you've done.

Do you have another piece like that. I have a lot of very good midi files but piano LH and RH are mismatch.

Maybe You want it to start ! I can upload those files.

Maybe a Genesis tread will be more interesting !

Hello Michel,
I'm Really glad to know you appreciate my work.
My trial version has unfortunately expired so I can't write any more stuff...
You opening a Genesis thread will be excellent! I'd really like to see the MIDI files you're talking about.
