Some Welsh fun

1 Attachment(s)
Hi, all:

I thought I'd share a piece I'm working on for a production of Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood next spring.

There are several songs in the show -- after all, it is Welsh, the singingest nation on Earth.

This one starts off sounding like a Dickensian "poor boy in the street" song, then becomes something different by the end.

We only have the melody available, so the accompaniment is mine. I'm aiming for easy playability here, rather than great art.

I laugh when I play it, so I hope you do, too.

Yes, me also. Nice song. Especially when it got to the 3/4 time section. I have to admit, you had me thinking more along the story line of Oscar Brown Jr.'s song, "The Snake", which has a little bit more macabre twist. But, I guess that is really very irrelevant.
