Christmas/Holiday Duets - I'll Be Home For Christmas

"I'll Be Home For Christmas" was written in 1943 by Walter Kent. Originally considered too much of a downer due to the ending, it became very popular.
You can display the lyrics (qsl) and/or the chords (qscn) if you would like to see them. Happy Holidays! Ralph Rayner |
Re: Christmas/Holiday Duets - I'll Be Home For Christmas
Hi Ralph,
As always thanks so much for sharing your work with the rest of us. I play whistle (a.k.a. tinwhistle, pennywhistle, low whistle) as my only wind instrument, and I find your compositions to sound swell on whistle. I play the melody line, but also use some of your "other stuff" to add some flavor. I play at a number of different retirement homes and assisted living facilities, and they really enjoy the whistle music. Your compositions are bringing a lot of joy not only to fellow musicians, but also to the many more folks who listen to them :) Merry Christmas, and hope you are home for Christmas this year :) Sherry |
