Your Windows system may report the existence of some MIDI ports that are not meaningful or useful to you. For example, these ports might be left over from the installation of a sound card that you have replaced. Or, these MIDI ports might be associated with a software synthesizer that you do not intend to use with Musician. In such cases, you can remove the MIDI port from Musician's configuration. This does not remove the MIDI port from Windows itself. It only removes the port from Musician's MIDI Device Configuration window. You can add it back later if desired.
To remove a MIDI port from a configuration:
1. | In the MIDI Device Configuration Window, select the MIDI port by clicking its name with the mouse. |
2. | In the Port menu, choose Remove; or hit the DEL key. |
