The previous topics describe how you can change the exact as-performed timing of a note-- its attack and release-- while leaving its notated location and duration unchanged. This topic describes the converse case, that is, how you can change the as-notated location and duration of the note without changing the as-performed timing of the note.

The procedures for changing the as-notated location and duration of a note are quite similar to those for changing the as-performed attack and release of a note. The main difference is that you select the As-Notated palette before you use commands such as Move Attack Right, or their keyboard short-cuts (A+RightArrowKey).
