Default It has been a really long time

It has been a really long time since I have done any writing. I had no strong motivation until I purchased Composer. Part of the melody was floating around in my head for quite some time, but I could never do much with it on the accoustical grand, so when I got the keyboard and Composer, I just sat down and improvised around the motif and this is what came out. I did a little editing, but it needs a whole lot more ( I'm still navigating the help files ). I welcome any criticism and suggestions. I'm not easily offended, so it's OK to tell me to please stop! Thanks for any help. Fred Winterling

Default Howdy Fred, Don't stop!

Howdy Fred,

Don't stop!

That's a beautiful piece! Lots of nice movement and "life" - you have a nice way of interweaving sparse passages with fuller ones, and changing the dynamic a bit to make it sachet. I see that your piece has lots of maj7 chords in it - I love these, as they are just a beautiful and soothing mode of music for me. And that's important today as I have a honking headache. Your piece was a really nice salve to my aching brain

I'm looking forward to hearing more compositions

ttfn,
Sherry

Default Wow! Thanks Sherry! Coming fro

Wow! Thanks Sherry! Coming from you that is a really nice compliment. I like Maj 7th chords, too but as you can tell, I really like diminished and half diminished chords. It's a little heavy with them, but I can't help myself. Thanks again! Fred W
