Hello,

I searched but could not find.

How can I set that repeat and end lines are drawn over multiple staffs. This was what I was used to, but after some new installation of update these lines are broken as shown in the picture.

Default Howdy Jaap, This change was

Howdy Jaap,

This change was by design, to accommodate lyric placement without interference from barlines that crossed where they were unwanted.

You can use a brace or bracket to group the staves you want to have barlines cross between.

Default Hello Cherry, I'm curre

Hello Cherry,

I'm currently working on quit some corrections and additions
in many of our bands paper music.

We have our notations in several versions. One for keyboard
which is 2 staves (left hand and right hand), a second one is
conductor 3 or 4 staves, and a third is the melody line for harmonica players (only one stave, but with lyrics.

When lyrics is between the lines I can agree that the bar lines coud be interfering, although I had no problems with bar lines that crossed the lyrics.

My Keyboard versions in general has two staves, but no lyrics.
This is the one where I really mis the bar lines, but particular the repeat lines and the end lines.

It would be great to have a configurable option to switch on/off bar lines in the staves, I would suggest always to have the end barlines and repeat lines to be printed.

Looking forward for your reaction

Cheers Jaap

Default Howdy Jaap, There's not

Howdy Jaap,

There's not an on/off "button", but you can use braces to "tell" Composer to turn on the bar lines across staves.

You can add them using Staff Symbols/Add braces or brackets.

Sherry

Default Hello Cherry, Thanks, yes t

Hello Cherry,

Thanks, yes that solves the issue for me. It is also
what i found in most of my organ music books.
I can add this to my favorite template.

However I could imagine that without the "Bracing"
still the end of the staves as standard gets a barline across
the staves, the same as at the front of the staves.
This is not where lyrics are crossing by barelines.

Howdy Jaap,

We do have a "to do" task that will allow this option to be easier to use in the future.

<!-quote-!>quote:

Good point! I'll add this emendation to the task 1703.

Sherry
