Default Hi Kombrig, I just finished

Hi Kombrig,

I just finished listening to all of your arrangements and enjoyed them all. I like your choices of instrumentation. They are very clean, uncluttered and pleasant...All that is missing is a fireplace and a beautiful blonde. Well, at least my wife let's me have the fireplace
I am not only enjoying your music, but I find your posts amusingly refreshing. You write in a sort of broken English with some American slang thrown in for good measure.

Maybe I'm mistaking, but I suppose that the time-signature for the swing or blues music can be non other, but 6\8?!?!

Not necessarily. It all depends on the interpretation. I find 4\4 to be more suited to swing and blues. I use 6\8 mainly for a jazz waltz. However, your arrangement in 6\8 for New York, New York swings very well.

Anyway, your pieces are very interesting. Keep 'em comin'.

Cheers,
Fred

I'm not sure, would you be interested to listen a very old song by Consuelo Velaskes, but I've made some fresh arrangement of "Besame Mucho". This is RUMBA style...

Howdy, folks!

Now, listen to improved midi of those pieces.

1. Besame Mucho

Besame.mid (23.0 k)</td></tr></table></center>

2. El Harabe Tapatio

ElHarabe.mid (10.0 k)</td></tr></table></center>

You should noticed that rhythm is changing 6 TIMES in one short piece.
And a time signature is keep standing UNCHANGED!

Enjoy.
