Default Hello Everyone, MidiNotate

Hello Everyone,

MidiNotate Composer 1.1 Release Candidate 2 (RC2) is now ready at www.notation.com/ComposerBetaRelease.htm

A Release Candidate is a pre-release of the final version of the software. The software is considered ready for final release. (Sherry and Tony proved that wrong for RC1 :-) The Release Candidate is tested. If no significant problems are found during testing, then the Release Candidate becomes the final released version of the software.

I would very much appreciate your trying out this Composer 1.1 RC2. If you find any problems with the setup, documentation, or software itself, please report below, or let me know at support@notation.com

The final release of Composer 1.1 is scheduled for Thursday Oct 18, provided no more significant problems are found.

Here is a list of the changes in RC2, since the previous RC1:

Recording. The recorded notes were correctly display as piano roll during recording, but upon completion of recording, the notes were lost, and other the staff control buttons for all staves disappeared.

File Open and Save. If a file name listed in Composer's front panel had certain special characters such as ' " ( or ), then that file could not be opened by clicking its name. Also, an attempt to save such a file might result in a zero-length MIDI file.

Cheers

Default Howdy M G, Are you positive

Howdy M G,

Are you positive you're running rc 2? I just tried mine, and it worked fine, so I'm wondering if maybe you're running rc 1 instead. Just check the splash screen that comes up when Composer starts, or click Help/About and check that it's Trial Version 1.1, rc 2.

If you are indeed running rc 2, then Mark will have to provide insight and direction here....

ttfn,
Sherry

No doubt about it. Depending on when folks installed, there will be others expiring soon.
