karaoke file with music notation not lyrics possible?
Hi
First post here goes. I want to be able to display the music on a file the same way as lyrics are displayed when a karaoke file is playing. Is this possible with Notation Software? |

Re: karaoke file with music notation not lyrics possible?
Hello, ezjazz:
I don't do karaoke myself, but I think you're asking if the notation can be displayed as it plays back? Yes, that's exactly what Notation Software products do. They don't scroll, per se, but display page by page. The amount of advance "page turn" is set using the Perform/Playback/Highlighting options dialogue box, up to one quarter note ahead. Hope that helps. David |

Re: karaoke file with music notation not lyrics possible?
Thanks for your reply.
At the moment I use notation to change keys and print melody lines from midi files. I then use a korg module to play the backings and i play the printed melody using the bar counter on the module as a guide thru the track. I edit the midi files with another software. What I would like to be able to do is to use a tablet eg ipad, nexus to replace both the module and the printed music. I dont know if this is possible but i thought that using karaoke as an example as it is an audio track with lyrics, was it possible to have an audio track with music notation? |
