Default Stradella

Hi,

I am performing on a monthly basis one or several of my song accompaniments for recitals by my wife Margaret, at church. The following is accompaniment only, for a song well known by any student of singing, claimed to be by Stradella but more likely composed by Francois Joseph Fetis. The title is “Se i miei sospiri”. Because it is accompaniment only, you need to sing the song to make it complete, else you will have quiet parts.

The instrumentation is Garritan GPO and Hallion Player for the acoustic guitar.

Very nicely done, Herbert. I am not familiar with the genre, but it is a very pleasant piece of music. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Ralph,

Thank you for your response. This is clearly music from the middle to late 19. Century. I only ever have heard it as a piano piece. Margaret asked me to create an orchestral arrangement, still under “construction”. Margaret sang it with this arrangement for the first time last Sunday. She was quite pleased, though there may be some minor changes.

Best wishes,

Herbert
