Default recent user musician

hi everybody,

I am a recent user of the musician programme that I bought online, very happy with it and now I am busy converting midi and karaoke files but I have some problems, in evry song I convert there are or too many chords or very complicated chords I don't even know as a keyboard player, is there a simple way to convert kar or midi files to notation with simple chords ?
I usually use easy notes but often music doesnt sound good or chords are too complicated...Is there anybody who can help me with this, all I want is one line with melody, words, musicnotes and chords for keyboard !
Many thanks in advance !

greetings

yves

Hello, Yves:

You should be able to select different chord transcription styles in the Chord Name Transcription dialogue box. (Format/Transcribe Chord Names)

On the right side of the box, there is a section labelled Detect Type of Chords. There is a drop-down box there that lets you choose from a number of styles, from Easy to Jazz, etc.

It also helps if you reduce the number for staves that you select (in the Chord Analysis section). If there are a lot of staves, then the addition of passing notes and so on adds to the complication of the chords. Often, just the basic piano and bass are best.

Hope that helps.

David
