Instrument Selection
After clicking on Staff controls I`m interested in using the ability to change the type of instruments that are playing. I notice tho` that a lot of my midi music that has been obtained thru` N.M. has this area with no instruments showing in it .
Some songs are fine, others nothing. Is this just the way is with some N.M. processed music? |

Re: Instrument Selection
Hi, Impulse:
Chances are that you need to go into the Midi Device Configuration box (from the Setup menu) and install the voice names for your midi device. The process is explained in the User's Guide, under the Advanced Midi Configuration Tasks. It's likely that you can simply use the provided button set the first bank of your device (in the Midi Device Configuration box) to General Midi and the appropriate instrument names will become available. After that, they should appear in the Staff Setup box. Hope that helps. David |
