Bracket at beginning
A lot of the midi/kar files I convert seem to drop chords on the first couple of bars. All I get is brackets above the bars. Anyone know what they mean. By the way, usually there are no notes under the brackets

Re: Bracket at beginning
Howdy,
A lot of files just don't have any notes in the first measure or two (or four ) and thus don't have chords either. You can simply delete those measure from your file by using Measure/Remove (delete) measures. ttfn, Sherry

Re: Bracket at beginning
Thanks Sherry. I can see what to do now. By the way, what does that bracket mean?

Re: Bracket at beginning
Howdy,
The bracket means that (1) it was confused about what the chord name should be and (2) you're using an older version because that "feature" was removed in the latest version 2.6 If you're using a 2.x version of the software, you can visit the Redownload page at www.notation.com/Redownload.php and get your download link for the most up to date version. ttfn, Sherry
