Hi Kay (and others),
It turns out that the problem was that, for some reason other than permissions apparently, the Template files did not install properly in the Template folder. For anyone else who may run into such a problem, or who may have adjusted their own template files but would like to have the originals, I'm posting a zip file that contains the "standard" templates that we currently include with Notation Musician and Notation Composer. If anyone else has a template file that you've created (Ralph, maybe your septet?) and would like to share, please feel free to post them here or in "Share your music". A template file is really only a .not file that (1) has no notes (2) has the instruments and formatting that you like and (3) is saved in the /Template folder. Easy  Enjoy!
