Hi,
Yes, you can. Go ahead and put in the rhythm staff, but do not include it in the part(s) you want for printing. Then, add a second "dummy for printing" rythm staff that only has the desired rhythm for as many measures as you will have for the first system (line) of printed music Then, use "Staff -> Hide Resting Staves" and the remaining staves will be hidden on the printout. You may want to put the volume of the "dummy for printing" staff to 1 and/or set the Note Velocities to "1" to keep them from making any "echoing" sound during playback. ttfn, Sherry
