Hi, Shawn:

I'm not quite sure what you mean by flowing, but I suspect that you may be wishing to smooth out the transcription of the file, reducing the number of short rests and lengthening transcribed notes.

Under the Setup menu, there is a "Transcription Options" item (keystroke: qto). In the dialogue box that comes up, you'll see a number of choices regarding note and rest lengths, music style, grace notes and so on.

Try working with those options. Select one, exit the menu and choose "Re-transcribe" (qrt) under the Format menu. You'll see the results immediately. Once you've got the file looking the way you want, the selections in the Transcription Options dialogue box are saved as your preferences.

I hope that helps.

David

Hi,

Perhaps if you could give us a bit more detail about the .mid file, or what you mean by "choppy" (eg. whether it's the actual sound you're hearing when you play it back, or whether it's the score you get) we can explore the solutions a bit better.

Thanks!
Sherry
