Default Re: When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again Duet

Hello Ralph,

Nice job on the swing section of Johnny Comes Marching Home! It is very nicely arranged for the swing beat.

I agree that it is a good idea to write out the swing beats. If the whole piece were swing, then swing notation without the -- 3 -- triplets would be appropriate. But since you're switching between the traditional 6/8 meter of Johnny, and your own swing section, I think it is smart to emphasize the change in rhythms and feel by actually writing out the swing.

Again, nice arrangement!

Cheers
-- Mark
