Hello, Howard:
Exporting the file to a .mid format means that you will lose any graphical musical symbols that you've added to the .not version of the file. A midi file contains only non-graphical information about the music: tempo, time signature, note values and lengths, velocity, etc. It has no information about the graphical display of the notation. When you load the .mid file into your Yamaha, it is then the decision of the Yamaha's software to interpret the notes as you describe it. It has, unfortunately, nothing to do with Composer.
