Re: Getting a rest where I shouldn't.
Thanks DJ. To clarify... I use a yamaha DGX-505 to record the music using the record feature and then convert it to midi (all with the piano). Once converted I take the card out put that in my computer and load the midi using Notation Composer. I'll see if your solutions work.

Re: Getting a rest where I shouldn't.
I found a solution To my problem just incase anybody else has the same problem!... Click on Measure tab and pull it down. "Click on Remove (delete) measures...". Then when asked change both values to "1" and click OK. Thanks for the help!

Re: Getting a rest where I shouldn't.
Glad you got it figured out.
You should be aware: the Yamaha machines (I have a DGX 500) only save and read in Midi Format 0, which puts all the midi channels onto one track. Composer will read (and sort out the data for) that kind of file, but doesn't save it, using the more modern Midi Format 1, which writes a separate track for each channel. So, if you work on a file and add tracks to it, you may need to use a third program to re-save it to midi format 0 before taking it back to your DGX, otherwise you may not hear some tracks. GN1:0 MIDI Converter is one piece of freeware that I use occasionally. David |
