Default End of song

As a new user of Notation2 I have, by accident, put the "End of song" lines somewhere in the middle of my song. Whatever I try I can't remove it.

What's the trick?

Hi, Gerard:

You should be able just to click-drag across the barline and select another from the menu of barlines that will appear at the top left of the screen.

Or click-drag across it and press "1" for a single barline, "2" for a double, etc.

Hope that works for you.

David

Thanks David,

Did didn't work.
When I click-drag across notes they start to blink.
When I click-drag across these end of song lines, nothing happens.
Nor can I select another from the menu of barlines that will appear at the top left of the screen.

Or click-drag across it and press "1" for a single barline, "2" for a double, etc.

Anyway, it would give me another Line in the middle of a measure, wouldn't it?
Can I email you the song (it's the tutorial from the manual).

Do you have another trick up your sleave?

Hi Gerard,

It sounds like something has gone awry in the installation. Please try re-installing the software and select the "repair" option. After the re-installation is complete, please restart your machine (sometimes Windows needs to get its ducks in a row.)

As David has said, clicking on or click-dragging across the barline should (1) turn it blue and (2) bring up the Barline editing buttons so that you can select a different style of barline.

Let us know how it goes

ttfn,
Sherry

The turning blue etc. as you describe does not happen. It's a freshly installed version of the program. Deleting the bars with the eraser didn't work untill....... I zoomed in as far as possible and used the eraser again, then it was gone!

The director of the choir that I advise has the same problem. She is very happy that I found "a way around the problem".

Thanks for all the responses.

Bye

Gerard

Hi, Gerard:

The end of music marker was in the middle of a bar? That's odd!

Do you still have a copy of it with the marker in it? I'd like to see it.

However, it sounds like you solved it, so that's good.

As odd as this may sound, I'm wondering if we're talking about the same software. (eg. ours does not have an 'eraser'). I'm talking about Notation Composer. There are other notation programs out there (eg. Notion, Noteworthy Composer, etc.) that have similar sounding names. This forum is only for Notation Musician and Notation Composer (and Notation Player), not for any other software (at least for trouble-shooting).

ttfn,
Sherry
