Default Hello MidiNotate Composer and

Hello MidiNotate Composer and Musician Users,

If you installed MidiNotate Composer or Musician version 1.1.2 on Aug 26 through 28, you should install a patch that updates your copy to version 1.1.3. This is recommended whether you are using the purchased version or trial version of MidiNotate Composer or Musician.

There was a serious bug in the newly released (8/26/05) version of MidiNotate Composer and Musician 1.1.2. The bug is that MIDI files of Type 0 were not correctly imported. The notes were not correctly assigned to staves. Most MIDI files are of Type 1; so you might not have noticed this bug, but eventually you probably will, unless you install the patch.

The version 1.1.3 patch is available at www.notation.com/ComposerUpdate.htm or www.notation.com/MusicianUpdate.htm You will not need to download and reinstall the entire copy of MidiNotate Composer or Musician. The patch is small: 300 to 500Kb.

Cheers
-- Mark
