How to play this situation, with Notation?
Hi Sherry,
Attached a picture, of a part of piano score, where in the low key, there are two notes C 4/4, above these a pause of 1/4, then four notes of 1/16, and a note of 2/4, I would like to know if it is possible to transcribe the same situation with Notation, and explain how I can do ..... thanks Franco |

Re: How to play this situation, with Notation?
Hi,
Yes, you can use Voices to transcribe these types of "overlapping" notes. Quickie:

Re: How to play this situation, with Notation?
Hi Sherry,
Thanks for the explanation, I understand how it works .... However, I found myself in another situation that, as I have tried to insert upper voices and lower voices, I could not complete the measure I enclose a picture, so you understand what I mean, the problem is always the Bass Clef, which is full of triplets, and of which I can not distinguish which notes make up the lower voices and what other, the upper voices. I hope I explained clearly and above all that you can teach me how to do ..... Thanks again Franco |

Re: How to play this situation, with Notation?
Hi,
The general rule for two voices is that one voice will have all upper stems while the other voice will have all lower stems. That appears to be the case in this example as well, though the triplets are a bit complex ttfn, Sherry

Thanks Scerry!
I had not thought about it, the position of the stems, I'll try. Yours sincerely Franco |
