Keyswitch codes in GPO and NC
Hi,
I hope to be able to use GPO/NC again over the holiday to build some templates. It's been quiet a while since I used either system so just to ask about the usage of GPO keyswitch codes usage in MNC. Last I can recall I added an extra NC staff for instruments that needed KS. That worked ok but on a score with many staffs it would be neat if KS codes could be added to the same staff as the instrument. Is this currently possible? Thanks. regards jss |

Re: Keyswitch codes in GPO and NC
Howdy,
You can do it either way. Having a separate "KS" staff keeps the keyswitch notes off the scoring staff (you can opt not to have the KS stave(s) show on the Conductor's score by using the Part/Define Part dialog when you're done with the composition). Or, if you're only interested in creating a soundtrack and don't care if the KS notes are on the scoring staff (eg. if you're not planning to print the score for anyone else), then you can put the KS "notes" on the scoring staff. The trick is to make sure that if you do put the KS notes on a separate "KS' staff, make sure that the channel assignment is the same as the scoring staff. ttfn, Sherry
