Default Missa el Ojo, Kyrie, by Francisco de Peņalosa

Attached are two slightly different arrangements of a choral piece by Francisco de Peņalosa (c. 1470 - April 1, 1528). These sketches are intended for realization in Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth.

The first version, 0a03_ is for soprano recorder, guitar and tenor double reed (in this case "English horn.") The superius is raised an octave.

The second version, 0a04_ is arranged for tenor recorder, guitar, tenor double reed and bass sackbut ("Trombone" in this case). All parts as written.

I especially like the way the slower moving tenor part contrasts with the other parts. It reminds me of the texture of a Bach chorale prelude.

(Please see "Song title and authors. . ." section for attributions.)
