I value your perspective about this, particularly given that you have been a support engineer. This is definitely something that I will consider, to make the bug list public, as well as feature requests and pending features. This forum has been quite open about both: bug reports and pending features. The forum is where customers "vote" for features. It might be a good idea to formalize this in a public database that customers can blog (add comments) to add their votes for new features, and lobby to increase the priority of particular bug fixes.
